Camping often brings to mind tents, campfires, and sleeping under the stars. But what if camping could be more than just a night outdoors? Imagine a place where families step beyond the comforts of glamping and dive into a rustic experience that connects them deeply with nature and food. This unique camping spot is not just a campsite—it’s a working farm where parents and children learn, play, and grow together.

A Camping Experience Rooted in Nature and Learning
This campsite offers a rare chance to combine outdoor adventure with hands-on food education. Unlike typical campsites, it includes a farm where families can engage in planting and harvesting activities. This setting encourages children and parents to get their hands dirty, literally, by planting young okra seedlings and exploring other plants during guided farm tours.
After finishing the planting, the campsite farmer surprised the kids with little stickers as a reward. One very happy child immediately announced she would take hers home and paste it into her achievement book — clearly a proud moment!
This kind of experience is hard to find elsewhere. It allows families to witness the full cycle of food growth, from seed to table, fostering a deeper appreciation for the food they eat. The farm tour introduces children to various plants, helping them recognize and understand the origins of their meals.
Learning Through Play: Food Education That Sticks
Education doesn’t have to be boring. At this campsite, food education is woven into fun activities that keep children engaged. One such activity is a treasure hunt for food ingredients, where kids search the farm for edible plants.
Another highlight is the O Sentai's food education card game called “Winner of Delicacies.” This game encourages children to explore variety Malaysian foods, and learn interesting facts. By turning education into play, children develop curiosity and a positive attitude toward trying different foods.
Sharing Meals Made from the Farm
Dinner time at the campsite is a special event. Families gather around a BBQ, cooking meals with fresh ingredients harvested from the farm itself. This direct connection between planting and eating creates a meaningful dining experience.
One surprising moment was when a child who usually avoids vegetables happily drank four large cups of creamy broccoli soup made on-site — a win we didn’t see coming!
Sharing meals outdoors also strengthens family bonds. Cooking and eating together around a campfire creates lasting memories and encourages conversations about food and nature.

Creating with Nature: Breakfast and Crafts
The next morning, families continue their journey by making breakfast themselves. This hands-on approach teaches children independence and the value of preparing their own food.
In addition to cooking, participants create art using natural materials like leaves, flowers, and branches. Crafting with these resources helps children appreciate the beauty and utility of nature. These handmade items become treasured keepsakes, reminding families of their shared experience.
Continuing the Adventure Together
This camping and farming experience offers more than just a getaway. It’s a chance for families to learn, explore, and grow together in a natural setting. The blend of outdoor adventure, food education, and creative activities creates a unique journey from harvest to campfire.
Families leave with new skills, stronger bonds, and a fresh perspective on food and nature. The journey doesn’t end here—it’s just the beginning of many more adventures to come.
