【独家】响应农耕光盘 纪录渣滓重量 培植华小收厨余做堆肥 [Exclusive] Supporting the "Clean Plate" farming initiative - Recording food waste weight, with SJK (C) Peir Chih recycling the waste into compost

校方在食堂内放了几个桶并张贴杯子、碗碟、汤匙与叉及厨余分类，让孩子们即日杜绝浪费来营造健康的校园饮食文化环境。Categorised bins were prepared in canteen, labeled for cups, plates, utensils and food waste, encouraging children to stop wasting food and helping to build a healthy dining culture on campus.

（哥打峇鲁10日讯）哥打峇鲁培植华小新学年起每天收集厨余做堆肥，除了杜绝浪费，也旨在营造健康的校园饮食文化环境。该校目前每逢下课后，记录日常食物的渣滓重量，并把这些厨余做堆肥。该校此举是响应由马来西亚丹江弟子规教学中心与好人好事快乐网策划推行的“农耕光盘行动”，让学生们深入了解食物和身体所需的营养来源，从而培养孩子的感恩心，及珍惜食物的价值观。

(Kota Bharu, Jan 10) From this new semester onwards, SJK (C) Peir Chih has begun collecting food waste daily and turn it into compost, aiming to reduce waste while fostering a healthier campus dining culture. After each recess, the school records the weight of leftover food and makes it into compost. This effort is part of the “Farming Clean Plate Campaign”, launched by the Malaysia Danjiang Di Zi Gui Teaching Centre together with HappyMove. The campaign helps students better understand the sources of food and essential nutrition for the body, while cultivating gratitude and appreciation for food.

此活动总策划是由好人好事快乐网胡静怡负责，并获得丹江院长张伟慈全力支持。

The project is leaded by HappyMove's Foo Ching Yee, with strong support from Danjiang Centre principal.

“农耕光盘行动”正式走进吉兰丹州校园后，培植华小是首所响应此行动的学校。在响应后，该校获得不少正面回响，而进一步以实际体验自然农耕课程学以致用。

With the campaign now introduced into schools across Kelantan, SJK (C) Peir Chih is the first to participate. The school’s involvement has received positive feedback, further inspiring the integration of natural farming lessons into hands-on classroom experiences.

校方从今年起将教导全校学生在每次下课用餐后，把食物渣滓收集在指定的大盆里，并每天纪录重量，再挖洞把厨余埋藏在泥土里做堆肥。

Starting this year, the school will guide all students to collect leftover food after every recess meal into designated bins. The weight is recorded daily, and the food waste is then buried in the soil to create compost.

此理念可培养学生养成光盘好习惯，以实际行动传承中华传统美德，弘扬勤俭节约、珍惜粮食、尊重劳动成果，杜绝浪费来营造健康的校园饮食文化环境。

This practice helps students develop the “clean plate” habit while putting traditional Chinese values into practices, passing down the virtues of diligence and frugality, appreciating food, respecting the fruits of labor, and avoiding waste, while fostering a healthy campus dining culture.

活动是由本校设计与工艺主任郑美云老师负责和带动，校方将给予全面配合。

在学校推动农耕光盘行动后，已经引起很多学生的兴趣。学校是从本月6日开始，将每天约8公斤至11公斤的食物渣滓或厨余做堆肥。

The “Farming Clean Plate Campaign” has sparked great interest among students since it was launched in the school on the 6th of this month. Each day, around 8 to 11 kilograms of food waste is collected and turned into compost.

自本校推动厨余分类系统后，学生就学会不摔餐具，细心分类，基本上就是学会了尊重。

Since the introduction of the food waste sorting system, students have also learned not to mishandle tableware, practicing mindful sorting. Essentially, they've learned respect.

为免影响学生们上课，一切秤厨余工作都在下课时间进行，目前共有6位六年级学生涉及，他们是王宝安、陈俊麟、陈伟安、黄新吉、甘宏瑞及沙克力。

To avoid disrupting classes, all food waste weighing is conducted during recess. Currently, 6 Year Six students are involved.
